Will man still rule the machine, or will the machine rule man? Hopes and fears about the relationship between man and machine dominate current debates and power struggles. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the main engine of the machine and the symbol of the fourth industrial revolution: is AI a key element in achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Or are we already so dependent on non-transparent AI devices that we're losing our freedom and security? How can spirituality and faith help find a constructive and balanced way of using AI without turning it into a new God?
Each event takes place on a Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the John Knox Centre, and includes a keynote address, panel and plenary discussion.
If there is interest, a working group can be set up for follow-up.
A contribution of CHF 20 will be requested. The John Knox Centre is easily accessible by public transport (5 min walk from WHO) and has a parking lot.
